MHO: The Importance of "Us Time"

This last month in MH Oakland has been tough-going. We let our "Us Time" fall by the wayside and the quality of our communication as a team suffered. Our events on the whole were successful and fulfilling, yet support of each others efforts was neglected. This month I realized how essential "Us Time" is to our moral. On good days in Moishe, it seems the house runs itself- guests arrive on time, theres exactly enough food, everyone laughs and feels connected. These days are what remind me of why I'm living in a Moishe house, and why I need to work at making more than just a passing "hey, dude" connection with my roommates. Sometimes, we need to get away from work together, have some fun, connect on another level. Its more important than I thought. The team at MHO got together and talked about this. We wrote down some goals for this month, things we want to change. A big section of those changes were devoted to meeting outside of the "work place". I'm looking forward to it.
