High holidays are always a crazy time of year for me. Keeping up with my personal and professional obligations as well as the holidays (while exciting) can be a bit overwhelming. This year a new ingredient was thrown into the mix….Moishe House. What does our community need from us during the high holidays? Truth be told there are tons of options for young unaffiliated Jews during high holidays (our community might not be comfortable with the choises or want to go somewhere new during the holidays), so should we provide another, give people an idea of where to go and how does this fit in with what we as individuals in the house need to do during the holidays. I’d love to hear how other Moishe Housers solve these kinds of conundrums during the holidays and other times of year as well.
