Working together in Dallas

Our house mostly emails each other to finalize plans for Moishe House. We are both so busy with different schedules, that we find this is the best way to collaborate ideas and get them posted. Whenever we have an event, we always remind everyone about all the other events coming up that month and some ideas we have for the following month. We like to get input from the community on what they would like to do because, after all, it is for them. For example, we have a different theme for Shabbat every month since everyone has different taste in food. This coming month, we are going to give everyone 2 or 3 options to vote on so they feel more involved. I think that getting input is very important so you make sure that a lot of people are interested in coming. Between Sima and I, we can get the job done. I am more of the planner and when it comes to Shabbat, I love to cook. Sima is great on the technical side, so she can help do the uploads for pictures and the goggle calendar, etc. We try to have a house meeting at least once a month to discuss what needs to be done for the month. Besides that, as I mentioned earlier, we correspond a lot by email to make sure we are on the same page with everything. Our main goal every month is get more people and more new people to come to our events. We know that when they come, they will of course have a good time :)
