As the we turn the corner on the new year, MH Portland would like to say "goodbye"to Marcus Dorsen and "hello"to Becca Cigan and Rachel House.
Marcus has been a great housemate. He has turned Poker Night and Bowling into MH staples, and has connected us with the Jewish crowd at Portland State University. We wish Marcus the best of luck as he leaves to pursues his education at PSU.
Becca and Rachel are both Portland natives looking to give back to their community after their time away at college. Beccas moved in mid-December. She has already succesfully executed a huge shabbat dinner that took place on January 2nd and will be helping MH Portland enjoy the inauguration festivities on January 20th (which is also her birthday--Happy 23rd Becca!).
Rachel just arrived today (January 6th) and we look forward to what she will bring to the House. Rachel just graduated from Columbia University and will be applying to Medical School next year.
With 4 housemates we plan on doing more than ever for the local community. Each of us has committed to 2 events per month, ensuring that we will have at least 8 events every month.
I can't wait to get started.
